Census thoughts for the future

A chara, – I woke up this morning with a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I haven’t felt since I was in fifth year, way back in 1973.

Yes, that same feeling of having to write an essay with less than a week to hand it in. The fact that this piece will not be marked for 100 years was not enough to assuage my anxiety.

What will I write? Will I make a fool of myself? Will it be any good?

Same old insecurities I had decades ago.

But this time there is the added existential anxiety of forcing myself to imagine a time when I won’t be here. A future nostalgia unique to our race, allegedly. – Yours, etc,
