Culture of keeping to the right would be safer

Sir, – I am fortunate to regularly use a busy suburban greenway shared by cyclists and pedestrians, both for commuting and recreational purposes.

If we adopted the same culture of keeping to the right on greenways as we do on the roads, navigating them would be considerably safer and it would allow cyclists to overtake pedestrians more safely and predictably.

I would also strongly advocate banning long leads for dogs in general. Yours etc,
