Sir, – Just when one fears that Boris Johnson's fog of lies is becoming impenetrable, a refreshing breeze of intelligent journalistic analysis and comment blows away the opaque mist surrounding the words of this politically pernicious miscreant (Opinion, October 29th).
Emma de Souza mentions “Johnson’s forever war with the EU” and that is exactly what it is. His constant efforts to portray the EU as the abnormal banana curvature legislators of Europe, feeds the voter base of Tory eurosceptics, voracious in their desire to believe that Europe is the “focus of evil in the modern world”.
Johnson’s agenda relates completely to his own political advancement. He has no time for others and certainly no regard, respect, or compassion for the people of Northern Ireland, and knowledge of this fact should be a unifying force for good across the political divide.
