With a Pro 12 play-off place secured and a number of players picking up injuries in last weekend's draw with Munster, Ulster boss Neil Doak has made a total of 12 changes for Saturday's game away at Glasgow.

Ulster currently lie in fourth spot in the table and a point behind Glasgow, and a win may be enough to guarantee a home play-off semi-final.

However, Doak has only retained three of the side which started at Ravenhill, with Franco van der Merwe, Louis Ludik and Chris Henry starting at Scotstoun.

Ireland Under 20s centre Sam Arnold has been selected to make his first start for the province, and he'll be partnered in midfield by Stuart McCloskey, Ulster's young player of the year.

Should Doak require some impetus off the bench then he shouldn't have to look very far, with internationals Rory Best, Tommy Bowe, Ruan Pienaar, Paddy Jackson, Roger Wilson and Iain Henderson, who this week escaped further punishment following his sending off against Munster, all named among the replacements.

Ulster: L Ludik; R Scholes, S Arnold, S McCloskey, M Allen, I Humphreys, P Marshall; A Warwick, R Herring, R Lutton, L Stevenson, F van der Merwe, C Ross, C Henry, R Diack;

Replacements : R Best, K McCall, B Ross, I Henderson, R Wilson, R Pienaar, P Jackson, T Bowe
