Sir, – Conan McKenna (Letters, April 5th) takes The Irish Times to task when he claims that the April 4th editorial was wrong to claim the main parties were doing nothing.
While his summary of the progress of the Judicial Appointments Commission Bill 2017 is informative, the key is the final line: “The Bill lapsed in January 2020.”
In most organisations we are measured by results, and the result was nothing. As a former CEO I worked for used to remind us, never confuse efforts and excuses with results. – Yours, etc,
