Sir, – Should we consider starting 2022 by dialling it down a little?
Must we always be truly passionate about things, not just interested in or engaged by something?
Is everything always incredible?
Mostly it’s simply impressive; in truth it’s actually not that hard to believe that something unusual has occurred.
Are so many things really unreal? Or totally ridiculous?
And must the default affirmative answer to almost any question be absolutely? Not just certainly or I suppose so or indeed or, heaven forfend, a mere yes or no?
I just feel incredibly passionate about this lazy overuse of superlatives.
It’s totally unreal, to be honest. Completely ridiculous, like. And I don’t doubt that anyone you ask will emphatically answer: “absolutely”! – Yours, etc,
