Sir, – I see that in your TV listings of August 10th, on the documentary Four Seasons in a Day, on the Carlingford Ferry, you refer to “the northwest of our island, the border between the Republic of Ireland and Britain”.
Leaving aside the points of the compass, I doubt if even the First Minister would refer to Northern Ireland as being Britain.
I am surprised that The Irish Times did. – Yours, etc,
