Sir, – In relation to gender equality and Irish theatre, Paul Soden (July 17th) comments that "to achieve a 50 per cent quota , well-written plays by men may be rejected in favour of lesser-quality plays written by women". Might I suggest that perhaps lesser-quality plays written by men may be selected, rather than well-written plays by women, in order to attain the 50 per cent quota. – Yours, etc,
E WILSON,
Killiney,
Co Dublin.
