Sir, – Jen Hogan says that she is "baffled" that "people feel they have a right to pass judgement on family size ("Why do people feel they have a right to pass judgment on family size?", Health + Family, April 12th).
I for one don’t understand this bafflement.
Irish people are brought up to judge and pass comment on other people and their families. This happens in our education system, at home and at work. I don’t find the fact that people do pass comment on the families of others the least bit surprising. – Yours, etc,
