Cancellations and Irish Ferries

Sir, – Further to "Ferry delay sees thousands more hit by Irish Ferries cancellations" (June 12th), I wonder are passengers who contact the Irish Ferries 0818 helpline aware of the costs of mobile phone calls to 0818 and 1890 numbers?

I think that it is extraordinary that a company that has ruined the holidays of thousands of people is using a number from which it is in receipt of a premium from each call it receives.

Why can it not use a 1800 number that is free to the caller? – Yours, etc,
