Sir, – A tale of two festivals: 10 lanes of vehicles stretching as far as the eye can see across the cloying mud of the desert, as 70,000 people endure the exodus traffic jams from Burning Man; versus the photograph on the front page of The Irish Times (September 5th) of some of the 70,000 people happily walking in sunshine leaving the Electric Picnic.
Perhaps our friends in Nevada should ask the good people of Laois to hold it in Stradbally next year. – Yours, etc,
