Sir, – David Doyle is filled with trepidation due to Micheál Martin having made another one of his journeys, this time regarding the “triple lock”, as if changing one’s opinion was a bad thing (Letters page, May 19th).
I believe it was Winston Churchill, who when challenged by a person for changing his mind, stated “when the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do?”
With Russia’s brutal war on Ukraine continuing unabated, and with Mr Putin’s rhetoric becoming ever more threatening, I suspect a lot of people in Ireland are making a similar journey.
