The new partners are: Maria Diver (Audit), Conor McElhinney (Tax), Chris Brown (Strategy), Kate Newman (Tax) and Rory Timlin (Consulting).
Maria Diver
Maria is from Inishowen in Co Donegal and is a partner in our Audit practice having joined the firm in 2011. Maria has extensive experience providing a wide range of audit and assurance services to large listed and privately owned Irish and international clients across a range of sectors. These include manufacturing, real estate and construction, engineering and energy clients. In addition, Maria plays an active role in the Audit Committee Institute in Ireland, bringing relevant insights to Audit Committee Members and non-executive directors. Maria has a BA in Accounting and Finance and a Masters in Accounting from Dublin City University.
Conor McElhinney
Conor is a native of Co Clare and a partner in our Tax practice, advising on Irish and international Tax matters for a broad range of international groups, large Irish-headquartered multinationals, and high net-wealth individuals. Conor has broad experience across a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on the aviation finance sector, where he advises aircraft leasing platforms and investors. Conor has extensive experience advising on Tax efficient structuring and financing, complex capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, business expansions, and broader international Tax developments such as the OECD’s BEPS Pillar 2 project. Conor has regularly led multi-jurisdictional teams to deliver for his clients on transformative, large-scale transactions. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Galway. Conor is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA).

Chris Brown
Chris grew up between Co Down and Heidelberg in the south of Germany. He has worked with KPMG in London and China, where he specialised in Commercial Due Diligence, new market entry and growth strategies. Now a partner in our Irish practice, Chris heads our Strategy team on the island of Ireland, working with Private Equity, corporates, semi-states and private enterprise, his work including strategic reviews, economic impact studies, Commercial Due Diligence and operational benchmarking. He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge where he studied History and International Relations.
Kate Newman
Kate hails from Co Offaly and is a partner in our Tax practice. Kate has experience in advising Irish headquartered and multinational clients on Irish and international Tax matters. Kate has worked with clients across a wide range of industries and has a particular focus on aviation finance and leasing sectors. Kate has extensive experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions, Tax due diligence, complex financing transactions, and structuring of both Irish and international acquisitions and expansions. She regularly leads multi-jurisdictional teams to deliver solutions for clients on large-scale transactions. Kate holds a Bachelor of Corporate Law and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Galway. She is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).
Rory Timlin
Rory is from Dublin and is a recently appointed partner in our Consulting practice. Rory has over 20 years of experience in Data, Analytics, AI, and Technology-driven transformation. Rory was previously Director of Technology & AI in a major organisation leading a Data & AI product portfolio for clients in Financial Services, Life Sciences and the Public Sector. He has a background in systems integration and digital transformation across multiple sectors in Ireland, the UK and the EU.
