Sligo Rovers boss Sean Connor will be without Brian Cash, Keith Foy and Gavin Peers for this evening's game against St Patrick's Athletic at the Showgrounds where the home side will be looking to bounce back from last week's 3-0 defeat by Cork City.

Connor insists the scoreline against City was misleading but knows there is little margin for error in games like this evening's if his Rovers side are to achieve his target of qualifying for Europe and the Setanta Cup.

A knee injury that will keep Cash out for a year is a blow to his ambitions, however, while the hosts will be weakened tonight by the suspensions being served by Foy and Peers.

The Dubliners have a full squad to choose from despite Trevor Molloy having picked up a slight knock in training earlier this week.

The 3-1 defeat by Shelbourne was the first time the Inchicore outfit had conceded more than one goal in five games, observed manager John McDonnell yesterday, but the goal Keith Fahey scored in that game was their first in four outings and they could do with their strikers rediscovering their early season form.

FIXTURES: Premier Division: Sligo Rovers v St Patrick's Athletic (7.45). First Division: Kildare County v Limerick, Kilkenny City v Cobh Ramblers (both 7.30).
