Jamie Heaslip is expected to sit out full training with Leinster in the coming days after receiving several stitches to a right leg wound which is expected to limit his on-field preparations this week ahead of the Pro12 meeting with the Ospreys at the RDS on Friday night.

The Ireland captain produced a man-of-the-match performance in the 44-16 hammering of Biarritz at the RDS on Saturday, scoring two tries as Leinster booked a date in the Amlin Challenge Cup decider against Stade Francais at the Ballsbridge venue on May 17th.

Cian Healy (knee) and Jonathan Sexton (dead leg) were substituted in the second half of Saturday's game as precautions, but the two Ireland internationals were able to train today

Flanker Kevin McLaughlin suffered a broken nose during the first half of the game but was able to return to action after treatment.

Leinster are optimistic that Gordon D'Arcy and Seán O'Brien – who were both ruled out of the Biarritz game through calf injuries – will be available for selection for the Ospreys game in the final round of matches before the play-offs. Brendan Macken returns to full training this week after suffering a broken hand.

A win for Leinster on Friday would guarantee them a home semi-final in the Pro12.
