The leadership of outhalf Adam Curry enabled Wesley College to qualify for the Bank of Ireland Vinnie Murray Senior Cup semi-final at Donnybrook yesterday.

St Fintan’s started brightly. They applied significant pressure but it wasn’t reflected on the scoreboard.

In contrast, Wesley went about building a 15-3 lead through tries by Curry and left wing Alistair Quirke and the kicking of Bill Corrigan.

St Fintan's eventually found the required response when centre Conor Byrne went over for an excellent try, converted by Frankie O'Dea.

But Wesley held firm in the last ten minutes to reach the last four.
