Irish jockey Eddie Creighton's condition has improved overnight in Australia.

Creighton suffered a broken wrist and concussion in a fall Warrnambool and was transferred to Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital when he suffered a seizure.

However, the Victorian Jockeys Association had better news for his friends and family. "His head injury responded well overnight and he underwent surgery on his left wrist this morning," the VJA said. "He is conscious and responsive and all signs are positive."
