Barry Geraghty faces at least two months on the sidelines after breaking his right arm in a fall at Market Rasen on Saturday.
He sustained the injury when taking a tumble from Cernunnos, for his boss JP McManus, at the final fence when holding every chance in the Betfred Summer Plate Handicap Chase won by Long House Hall.
“Barry has a fractured right humerus. He’ll be coming home tomorrow and will see a specialist on Monday with a view to whether he requires surgery or not for it,” said the Irish Turf Club’s senior medical officer, Dr Adrian McGoldrick.
“He’ll be out for two to three months with that.”
The first big meeting in Ireland Geraghty will miss will be the seven-day Galway Festival that starts on Monday week.
