Séamus Power in the mix at Pebble Beach despite a 74

Halfway leader now two off the lead but has Spieth for company heading into Sunday

Séamus Power remains firmly in contention in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am despite a disappointing third round of 74 which saw him slip to seventh on the leaderboard.

Halfway leader Power is still just two strokes behind but has six players to leapfrog on Sunday, among them Jordan Spieth and Patrick Cantlay.

Power’s 74 followed opening back-to-back rounds of 64 and included six bogeys and three birdies. He now sits at 13 under par for the tournament.

Beau Hossler’s third round of 65 on Saturday saw him vault into a three-way tie for the lead with Andrew Putnam and Tom Hoge.

Hossler recorded an eagle on his way to a bogey-free round on the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Putnam and Hoge shot matching four-under 68s as all three players sit at 15-under.

Patrick Cantlay (third round 68), Jordan Spieth (63) and Joel Dahmen (66) sit tied for fourth at 14 under, one stroke back

Australian Jason Day (70) and Denny McCarthy (66) are four shots back in a tie for eighth.

Spieth moved 34 spots up the leaderboard playing on Pebble Beach. He opened with two birdies, added an eagle on six, and finished the round with eight birdies against a bogey on the 13th.

Pebble Beach hosts the final round on Sunday.
