All-Ireland champions Tipperary make four changes to the team that won the Liam MacCarthy last year for their first championship outing this year against Munster champions Limerick in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Séamus Kennedy and John O'Dwyer were both declared injured and Michael Breen and Dan McCormack miss out.

Starting Sunday’s provincial semi-final will be Seán O’Brien at corner back, Alan Flynn at centrefield and Jake Morris and Mark Kehoe in the forwards.

Limerick make only one change to the team that easily beat Clare last week. Darragh O’Donovan replaces Paddy O’Loughlin at wing back.

Galway’s first championship selection under Shane O’Neill confirms that multiple All Star Daithi Burke misses out because of a calf injury. His place goes to Fintan Burke, who missed last year because of a terrible knee injury sustained in the 2019 All-Ireland club final.

Also missing are All-Ireland winning captain David Burke and corner back Adrian Tuohey. Galway's opponents in Saturday's Leinster semi-final at Croke Park, provincial champions Wexford, are unchanged from the team that lost last year's All-Ireland semi-final to Tipperary.

Kilkenny include two debutants for Saturday’s Leinster semi-final against Dublin. Eoin Cody at corner forward and corner back Ciarán Wallace make their first starts.

Dublin name an unchanged team after last weekend’s opening championship win over Laois.

Mayo footballers have seven newcomers for Sunday's Connacht quarter-final against Leitrim in Carrick-on-Shannon.
