Today's Group Three Killavullan Stakes has a serious pedigree as a signpost to future classic glory and Blue Coral can successfully follow some famous footsteps at Leopardstown.

Both Grey Swallow (2003) and Footstepsinthesand (2004) won this afternoon's race to complete unbeaten juvenile careers and while none of today's five runners is protecting an unbeaten record, they do look a reasonably promising bunch.

Aidan O'Brien's two-year-olds are flying at the moment and he runs both Albert Einstein and Frederick Ozanam with Seamus Heffernan on the latter.

An 86-rated horse is hardly a stand out for a Group Three though and Albert Einstein's Cork second to Boca Dancer has been boosted recently.

O'Brien runs four fillies in the Trigo Stakes and although Chenchikova is not the best rated of the quartet, she has Heffernan on board and the testing going should not be a problem for High Chaparral's full sister.

Tamimi's History ran into Mount Nelson at the Curragh last week and may find another Ballydoyle colt too good in the seven- furlong maiden.

There was lots to like about the way Archipenko ran on last Monday when beaten only three parts of a length by his better fancied stable companion Spanish Harlem at the Curragh.

Over the jumps at Galway the most valuable race is the €40,000 handicap chase where the topweight Old Flame gets his favoured right-handed track.

However, the Beginners Chase looks the most intriguing contest and the mare Gazza's Girl looks worthy of serious examination to get the better of both Vedelle and Toofarback. The latter won a decent hurdle last winter while Vedelle ran into a good one in Mossbank at Clonmel last week.

A test of stamina though will be ideal for Gazza's Girl and there was a lot to like about the way she ran on when third to Mattock Ranger at Punchestown.

Adamant Approach is very much at the veteran stage of his career but there should be enough in him yet to cope with Bluebyyou in the amateur race.
