New boundary lines benefit Tullamore native

Tony McCormack of Fianna Fáil has been elected in Offaly

The new boundary line for Offaly which now includes part of the former Kildare-South constituency may have benefited county councillor Tony McCormack (55).

The Tullamore native, who is active in numerous local groups such as Tullamore Harriers athletic club and Tullamore Rotary Club, is the current Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council and also chairs the Offaly Innovation and Design Centre and serves on several boards for business and community development.

The businessman, who runs a successful printing company, was first elected as a local representative in 2009. He was re-elected to the council in 2024 on the fourth count.

Mr McCormack, who is married to Joan, with whom he has two sons, says he is committed to promoting economic growth, improving public services and enhancing the quality of life for all residents of Offaly.
