Sir, – Keith Nolan writes (Letters, February 6th), when considering the merits of Irish reunification, "why would we want them?"
I can only presume that the “we” in that statement refers to those resident in the Republic, and the “them” to those living north of the Border.
It is sad to see that the partitionist mindset is so deeply embedded in some people’s thinking.
Those Irish citizens who happen to live north of the Border are as much “we” as Mr Nolan or anyone living in the Republic. – Yours, etc,
