Sir, – Michael Redmond (February 2nd) seems to think that your columnist Lilly Higgins has overdone the amount of garlic in her recipes.
However, I would like to see more garlic recipes published. It is said that garlic can “ward off evil spirits”. I don’t know if a garlic odour emanating from Ireland can be targeted at a certain international politician, but it is definitely worth a try. – Yours, etc,
