Sir, – Gill McCarthy (Letters, December 23rd) comments on the lack of sherry as a Christmas tipple.
Sherry originated from Jerez in Spain, an EU country, and is still made there.
I can assure you that a good Amontillado or Manzanilla are still available straight from the country of origin, even in the UK.
Therefore I feel that Brexit is not to blame, but maybe your letter writer’s supplier is not a fan of that particular drink. – Yours, etc,
