Sir, – John Griffin (Letters, February 23rd) states that parents who send their children to private schools are likely paying a "whopping 'progressive' share of the national personal income tax take".
In some cases that may well be true, and one wonders if they themselves benefitted from all the advantages that private schooling offers.
In other cases, it has little to do with the earning power of the parents and more to do with their inherited wealth. – Yours, etc,
