Sir, – I am not a Roman Catholic but I do find Pope Francis to be a voice for justice and Christian values. His warmth, humility and kindness are badly needed on the world stage today. Let us give him a warm welcome and listen carefully to what he has to say. – Yours, etc,
ELIZABETH ORR,
Dublin 8.
Sir, – So it’s official. Pope Francis is coming to Ireland. He is welcome. For those of us who find the misogynistic attitude of the Catholic Church unacceptable, is this not our golden opportunity to show this church how reprehensible we find this, and refuse to attend the various functions? It could be a case of silence speaking louder than words. – Yours, etc,
NODLAIG NATHAN,
Cork.
A chara, – Will the “Festival of Families” in August count as a fifth concert in Croke Park this year? – Is mise,
LOMAN Ó LOINGSIGH,
Dublin 24.
