Loyalty to insurance companies

Sir, – The revelation that loyalty to one's insurance supplier results in a premium payment is devastating and indeed by any norm morally wrong. That the Government will not move to stamp out dual pricing for another 10 months is reprehensible (Joe Brennan, Business, December 17th).

It beggars belief what yet another report might add to this sorry affair.

I and my wife have had three policies with the same company for almost 40 years. I would respectfully suggest that rather than another report, time should be spent calculating how I and others should be reimbursed and compensated for decades of abuse and what penalties should be levied at the industry. – Yours, etc,
