Sir, – I note that Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy, in a time of grossly inadequate housing provision, prepares to publish the third major housing policy in four years (Harry McGee, "Is Government housing policy working?", Analysis, August 26th).
Kenneth Clarke, writing in his book Civilisation, gave us the following memorable and absolutely accurate quote: "If I had to say which was telling the truth about society, a speech by a Minister of Housing or the actual buildings put up in his time, I should believe the buildings."
Minister, please note. – Yours, etc,
Dr PAUL ARMSTRONG,
