Sir, – As an Irishwoman who has lived in London for more than 40 years, I believe I am well entitled to inform you that most of us Irish in London have seen such drastic changes to this wonderful city that we have no choice but to vote to leave the EU.
I see that TDs are coming to London to persuade the Irish people here to vote against Brexit. How dare they think they can saunter over here and tell Irish people how to vote? We are bigger and better than that.
Thank God for freedom of choice and freedom of speech. We’ll make our own decision and we’ll put the X in the right box on June 23rd. – Yours, etc,
BRIDIE REDMOND,

Sir, – I find it astounding that Theresa Villiers is still allowed to remain on as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland after her decision to campaign in favour of leaving the EU.
As someone who has a responsibility to help represent and look after the best and wider interests of the region, it is unsettling that Ms Villiers not only supports a referendum that will deprive Northern Ireland of the EU funding that it benefits from so much, but also disingenuously insists, contrary to evidence and common sense, that the Border will remain as open as ever.
Ms Villiers has decided to put her own political hobby horse over her duties to the welfare of the citizens of Northern Ireland, and has therefore proven herself to be totally unsuitable for the job.
When the post-referendum reshuffle inevitably happens, she should be replaced by someone who can actually manage to pretend to care about the role. – Yours, etc,
TOMÁS M CREAMER,
Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.
