Sir, – The distinguished university academics make a strong case in favour of retaining geography as a core subject at Junior Cycle level (Letters, February 25th). Its role in “solving global problems” and “proposing solutions to pressing national issues” seems clear cut. One wonders, however, how much a certain Theresa May (BA in geography, Oxford) has retained of what she was taught.
