Sir, – Martyn Turner’s “There’s no fuel like an old fuel” cartoon (April 12th) reminded me of Peter Chapman’s book of 1979, in which he rephrased Abraham Lincoln’s well-known words to read: “You can fuel some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fuel all of the people all of the time.” – Yours, etc,
BOB HANNA,
Belfast.
