Sir, – I note with interest that the Government is planning to hold eight referendums over the next 18 months (Online News, September 26th).
I wonder if the Cabinet might also find the time to schedule a referendum amending Article 16.2.2 of the Constitution? This requires that there is one TD elected for every 20,000 to 30,000 members of the public.
By reducing the required number of TDs, perhaps we may even recoup the cost of holding the forthcoming barrage of referendums? – Is mise,
