Sir, – I note that the excellent film Dunkirk is currently showing in several different visual formats in cinemas – 40mm, 70mm and an Imax version, plus a choice of film versus digital.
While this variety in terms of the visuals is to be welcomed, can I suggest to the film’s distributors that they also provide a choice of audio formats – “deafening” (as is the case with the current showings) and “normal volume” (apparently not available). – Yours, etc,
