Sir, – Catherine Cleary's assertion that "there are few silver linings" in the "post-Brexit omnishambles facing Northern Ireland" smacks of the new trend requiring the appendage of a "despite Brexit" clause to news of something good happening in the United Kingdom ("Armagh restaurant is a silver lining in the Brexit cloud", Magazine, September 30th). Unquestioning commitment to such a narrative, aside from being tiresome, can have a blinding effect as regards the truth. – Yours, etc,
ADAM HOBSON,
