Sir, – We really must come up with an alternative phrase to “affordable housing”. Every week we see houses advertised in The Irish Times valued in the millions of euro. They are all “affordable” to someone. We don’t see many of them readvertised at a much reduced price, although there have been notable reductions of a couple of million in some notable Dublin addresses. But they are still “affordable” to someone. – Yours, etc,
