Sir, – My mother was delighted to open her post yesterday to find a card with a little robin on it instead of a bill. My Christmas card, presumed long lost, finally reached its destination, having travelled some 10 miles. Maybe next year I will post some cards in January so instead of bills on a dreary wintry morning the recipient will instead find a nice cheery greeting! The said robin is now perched happily on the windowsill overlooking the daffodils peeking up. – Yours, etc,
