Sir, – Donald Trump’s suggestion that Iran has no cards is questionable. It seems not only do they have cards, but they are playing them rather well.

They also appear to be avid readers of Mark Twain. They’re Tom Sawyer and they’ve got Trump whitewashing their fence. “No need to worry about closing the Strait of Hormuz. Please let the US blockade it for you.”

I confidently predict that Trump will now be goaded into out-Twaining them. Maybe he’ll fake his own funeral. – Yours, etc,
