Sir, – Joanna Mulvey (Letters, August 9th) suggests that these behemoths be subject to extra charges .
As one in his late 80s coming back to his normal-sized car to find it is hemmed in with one of these on each side – thankfully my boot opens and my back seat collapses.
So, being still reasonably agile I can crawl in and fall into my front seat to drive away. – Yours, etc,
