Sir, – Keith Nolan (Letters, December 13th) wonders if Leo Varadkar’s trip to Leitrim in the wake of the tornado means there’s a general election coming. Probably.
It just made me long for the old days, when then tánaiste Mary Harney flew by Air Corp to Leitrim, to open an off licence. Good old days, indeed. – Yours, etc,
