Sir, – I note the article titled “Aer Lingus could grow UK base due to caps in Dublin” (Business, October 28th).
There is a natural limitation on Dublin Airport due to its location.
Dublin Airport is surrounded on all sides by houses, with hundreds more under construction, and all under the various flight paths.
So there is a balance to be struck between aircraft noise impact on residents and passenger numbers, but particularly at night time.
