- At least 58 people have been killed and 515 injured in America's worst mass shooting after a gunman fired on the Route 91 Harvest country music festival from a hotel overlooking the event in Las Vegas.
- Police have named the suspect as Stephen Paddock. They believe he shot himself on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino before police got to him.
- Police said the suspect had 10 guns in his hotel room.
- Police have said Marilou Danley (62) is "no longer a person of interest". She is thought to have been the gunman's room-mate.
- Jason Aldean, the country music singer who was performing when the shooting took place, described the scene as "beyond horrific". He said he and his crew were safe, but added: "It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night."
- Concert-goers reported seeing muzzle flashes from the upper floors of the Mandalay Bay hotel and several videos of the aftermath show hundreds of people fleeing in panic as the gunfire continued. About 40,000 people were attending the festival.
- US president Donald Trump has said the massacre was an act of "pure evil" in a live televised speech from the White House.
- Some flights have resumed at the city's McCarran airport after all planes were temporarily grounded on Sunday evening.
- A Department of Foreign Affairs spokesman has said: "No indications of Irish caught up in the incident as yet".
