Nineteen people were killed and 23 were injured when a double-decker passenger bus caught fire after a collision on one of Thailand’s busiest roads.

An 18-wheel lorry crashed into the Bangkok-bound overnight bus on Mitraphab highway in the central province of Saraburi, 60 miles north of Bangkok.

Most passengers were trapped in the bus when it caught fire, including the bus drivers.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and working to identify the dead bodies. Police said another woman was injured when a pick-up truck crashed into the wreckage.
