Iarnród Éireann has asked passengers to remember that Heuston Station in Dublin will be closed from 8.45 a.m. this morning until 1 p.m. on Monday.

Between 9 a.m. today and 1 p.m. on Monday bus transfers will operate between Heuston Station and Kildare and Newbridge and Athy for regional trains. Control card booking for the shuttle service is essential. It can be made in advance, in person at Heuston or at CIÉ's offices at 35 Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1.

The closure is to facilitate redevelopment at the station and is structured to ensure 85 per cent of rail commuters will be unaffected, Iarnród Éireann says. Mobility-impaired passengers should contact the special-needs helpline on 7032634.

The Arrow will not serve Cherry Orchard or Clondalkin stations today or tomorrow. No services will operate on the Heuston to Kildare route today.
