Dublin Circus Festival, various locations
For fans of the big top, this all-weekend festival will suit anybody who wants to learn the tricks of the trade or who just wants to see some circus acts. The weekend will include juggling, aerial workshops and a gala show in Smock Alley Theatre on Saturday night.
The festival features performers from all around Europe, as well as homegrown circus talent. Weekend tickets are €20 for students and €25 for adults.

Ballydehob Traditional Music Festival, Co Cork
The small village of Ballydehob in West Cork will be a haven for traditional music fans this weekend. This year’s festival is headlined by The Raw Bar Collective who will also be giving tuition to trad enthusiasts at a series of workshops.
The village's Larkin Hall will be the focal point of festivities and will be open throughout the weekend as a practice point and workshop location.

Mayo Mud Run, Co Mayo
For those who overindulged last weekend, there’s the opportunity to to make up for it with the Mayo Mud Run. This 8.5km trial will see participants attempt to run through some of Mayo’s most beautiful natural landscapes, but will have to contend with mud throughout the run.
Runners will try not to get lost while run organisers have a few surprises in store. The run is for over-18s only and entry to the race costs €30.

Alone it Stands, Limerick City
This sports production returns to its symbolic home for two final performances tonight and tomorrow. The story is set on the 31st October in 1978 when Munster Rugby played the mighty All Blacks from New Zealand in a David and Goliath match, which ended in a historic Munster victory. Where better time and place to see this production than in the home of Munster Rugby.
The play is staged in the Lime Tree Theatre in Mary Immaculate College.Tickets cost €14 and are available to purchase online.
