Police in Northern Ireland are investigating a robbery in Lisburn last night in which a raider armed with a knife made off with a sum of money.

The robbery took place at a shop on Longstone Street shortly before 9pm. The man, who was wearing a balaclava, entered the premises and demanded money from staff before making off with an undisclosed sum of cash.

The man, in his 40s, was described as 5ft 8ins and wore a dark-coloured jacket.

Police in Lisburn are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
