A man has died following a road crash in Co Donegal.

A man has died following a road crash in Co Donegal.

The incident, which involved a single vehicle, occurred at Greencastle Rd, Moville at approximately 4.25am.

The man, who was in his mid-20s, was fatally injured when his car left the road and crashed into a telegraph pole. He was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital.

The road has been closed for an examination by Garda investigators. Local diversions are in place, and gardaí said articulated lorries and heavy good vehicles will not have access between Moville and Greencastle until the road reopens.
