A man was killed and another was injured in a shooting in Co Down tonight.
They were attacked on the Burrenbridge Road in Castlewellan shortly after 7 pm.
The men, both believed to be in their 20s, were travelling in a white Toyota car which stopped outside a bar at the junction with the Dublin road in the town.
A number of shots were fired at the car and the passenger was fatally wounded.
The second man is believed to be seriously injured with gunshots to the chest and arms.
There were no arrests, and a police spokesman said a motive for the attack was unknown at this stage.
