Man airlifted from passenger ferry off Dublin

Coast Guard took patient to hospital from Stena Adventurer en route to Wales

The Irish Coast Guard has airlifted a man from a passenger ferry off the Dublin coast in a medical emergency.

The man has been taken to hospital in a possible cardiac incident.

The Coast Guard helicopter was dispatched to the Stena Adventurer ferry which was some 37km en route from Dublin to Holyhead.

The rescue took place at about 9.30am.
