Despite not touring since 2011, U2's combined wealth makes them the third highest-grossing music millionaires in Britain and Ireland.

With only Sir Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell and Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber in front of them, the Irish band is worth an estimated €612 million, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.

The money is spread between band members Paul 'Bono' Hewson, Dave 'The Edge' Evans, Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton, as well as their manager Paul McGuinness. Their fortune increased by €8 million this year.

Mullingar native and One Direction member Niall Horan has also joined the rich list. Along with fellow band members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, Mr Horan is worth an estimated €6 million.
